They’re a great way to get your daily CBD in a fun way. CBD oil is often more financially logical, but you have to hold it under your tongue for a couple of minutes and it tends not to taste too great. In fact, many people struggle with the taste of CBD oil, whereas who doesn’t like a good sweet (candy for my American friends).

They’re also amazing for getting a precise dosage. No more guessing how many drops have gone into your mouth, you just swallow a gummy and job done.

How Do You Use CBD Gummies?

You simply eat them like you would any other food. You don’t need to keep it under your tongue, as you would with CBD oil. The amount you require will be written on the individual product guidelines.

How Long Before CBD Gummies Start Working?

On average, all CBD edibles normally start to work after 30-60 minutes. This can vary based on a number of factors, such as how recently you have eaten and your weight. Even your tolerance levels can have an effect. I have found in the past that it is closer to the 60 minute mark, as it does have to go through the digestive system, before entering the blood stream.

How Many CBD Gummies Should I Eat?

This will vary between each brand and product, therefore you should follow the guidelines closely, but the most important factor to consider is how much CBD you’re trying to consume in one go. I personally would opt for 20mg, therefore if a single gummy is 20mg then I just need one, but some above you will see are 5mg, meaning I would need 4.

Can You Get Vegan Ones?

Yes you can. As you will undoubtedly know, gelatin is made from meat sources, so most of these don’t qualify, but Organic Relief’s gummies are vegan.

Can You Get Sugar Free CBD Gummies?

Yes you can, such as the Love Hemp gummies, which contain 0.2 grams of sugar from 100 grams (2 bears are 4 grams, so you get barely a trace of sugar). It should be mentioned that these are swapped for sweeteners, but most of these sweeteners that brands use won’t spike your insulin levels.

Should I Take Them At Morning Or Night?

This is partly down to the reasons why you’re taking them and what you’re hoping to achieve. I like to have CBD both first thing in the morning and then before I go to bed. In the morning, I love having a gummy as they taste great and it’s a bit of joy combined with my supplementation, while I don’t mind sugar before a workout. In the evening I don’t want sugar, however I do want CBD to help me sleep, therefore I opt for an oil.

Can You Take CBD Gummies On An Empty Stomach?

Yes you can, there is nothing wrong with having them first thing in the morning with an empty stomach. If you are hungry then you might want to be cautious as they are a little moreish. Again, there are multiple factors in play, but from personal experience and from reading guides on the subjects, as well as reading through multiple product descriptions, generally the effects should last for 6-8 hours.

It depends how many you’re having each day, whether you take them each day and how many are in a pack, but on average whether you pick an oil or an edible, there is often 15-30 days worth.

The original gummies I was sent by Naturecan when the brand was launched weren’t great, but wow they stepped up their game! These are by far some of my favourites now, Raquel is constantly pestering me to eat some. They also offer different strengths and different quantities of gummies, so you can customise your order to meet your requirements.

5) Ethos CBD Peach rings

Why aren’t there more peach flavoured gummies in the world? They taste so great! The shape and flavour certainly stands out in the crowd, while they also pack in 20mg in each ring, with 25 in a pack, at a very reasonable price.

6) Ceelabb CBD Gummies

With 25mg in each gummy, this is on the higher end of the spectrum compared to most on this list, packing a decent punch and with a respectable 30 in a pack. The Irish brand is expanding quickly and the owner comes across as really kind and friendly.

7) The Good Level CBD Gummy Bears

With six different flavours, these gummies scored very highly for taste, being incredibly moreish, with the apple by far my favourite.

They also use cold pressed hemp, different to most others on this list, so I’d definitely recommend giving my review a read to learn more. The only way they could have scored higher is if they had options that were greater than 10mg per bear.

8) Prym Health CBD Gummies

I was fortunate enough to test out the entire range by Prym Health and I can happily say I was impressed by it all. The gummies were scrumptious, it was hard not to keep tucking in to more. The mg are a little lower than some of the others, at 10mg, but you get 30 in a pack for just £19.99, making this a great option if on a lower budget.

9) Sunday Scaries Vegan Sour Gummies

I do love a sour sweet, but almost all on this list are focused on that sweet taste, so it was nice to find something more resembling the Haribo Tangfastic flavour. These were my favourite of the expansive Sunday Scaries range.

Sunday Scaries produce a number of different gummies, including cherries and strawberries, but it was the rings that stood out the most. This is a brand I’ve fallen in love with, always producing the highest quality range of CBD goodies.

11) Supreme CBD Gummy Rings

Great tasting, but didn’t offer quite the hit compared to the bears I tested out, so if offered the choice, despite the temptation to eat them for the peachy flavour, I’d go for the bears or the oil by this brilliant brand.

12) Mother CBD

35 gummies and each containing 20mg of CBD, these are perfect for someone looking for a higher dosage, with 700mg in each tub. They have three different flavours, while they mask the hemp taste perfectly.

13) CBDiablo CBD Gummies

This incredible Scottish brand has easily one of my favourite CBD oil’s I’ve ever tried! They also serve up a high quality pack of gummy cubes, with 30 in a pack, meaning £1 per gummy, or 10p per mg of CBD.

14) CBDFX Turmeric & Spirulina

I was sent two different flavours of CBD gummies by CBDFX, however I never expected this one to be the best tasting. It was beautiful, it was hard to stop myself eating more.

15) Zen Bears

Zen Bears don’t sell a range of products, they’ve put their core focus on producing a high quality pack of CBD gummy bears, with a single pack containing 600mg of CBD. This is a vegan friendly option thanks to the inclusion of pectin over gelatine.

16) Honey Heaven Gummy Bears

With six different flavours, utilising apple juice concentrate, these gummy bears contain 20mg of CBD and have 25 in a pack, meaning you get a decent 500mg overall. They’re also vegan friendly, something I’m finding more commonplace nowadays in the industry.

17) Yumi Nutrition Recover & De-Stress

These strawberry tasting CBD edibles are rounded, breaking from the ‘gummy bear’ regular shape. They also slot nicely under the tongue so you can properly absorb the CBD into the blood stream before enjoying the sweet.

18) Sunday Scaries CBD Gummies

This is their original gummy, the main item in their range, however it comes second in the list of their products for me, with the sour ones offering something unique and tempting. These are still a great tasting gummy and work a treat!

19) Flora Farmacy CBD Fruit Gummies

These don’t have the sugar coating the others have, however they do contain sugar, as well as glucose syrup. You get thirty of these great tasting treats in each pack, while I went for 1-2 per day, having 20mg of CBD in each.

20) Green Roads CBD Relax Bears

This American brand is making massive waves, with both their CBD oil and gummies ranking high on my lists. Quite importantly, you can’t taste the cannabis, as some gummies do have a bit of an intense flavour.

This US brand isn’t sold heavily in the UK just yet, but I can’t wait for it to become more commonly found over here. These bears were so incredibly scrumptious, you shouldn’t just base your judgement on taste but it’s hard to look beyond their great flavour.

These are vegan friendly and pack 20mg of CBD in each bear. One thing that really impresses me is that they’ve also included turmeric, which is high in curcumin, a hugely healthy ingredient that I try to get into my diet more regularly.

The award for creativity 100% has to go for this CBD candy, with its vibrant rainbow colours on the thin pieces of ‘jerky’ making this stand out amongst the ever growing CBD crowd.

Packed with strawberry, tropical, orange and raspberry flavours, these have the added benefit of having a decent quantity of Vitamin C included, meaning you can feel extra proud of yourself for consuming some of these.

These were impossible to get over here in the UK, the brand has such a strong reputation around the globe, but I had never tried them before, until Savage Cabbage became their UK distributor and I’m now delighted to say I’ve tested them out. One benefit to these is you can opt for a very small pack, with just 8 bears, making it a good experimental area before investing in a much larger pack. It also allows you to try the different flavours by CBDFX before making your final purchase decision.
