Cheetah CBD was setup by Calum Lyle and Matthew Humphrey at the beginning of 2021, with the aim to introduce a high quality CBD oil to the UK market which could help people to improve their mental and physical health.

‘Recover your ambition’ is the main slogan they push throughout, which I like, as I do think many people’s ambition can fall to the side either through anxiety or stress, so it feels highly pertinent for a CBD oil slogan.

What Strength Is The Oil?

The CBD oil that I’ve been sent is 15% in a 10ml tincture, meaning it contains 1,500mg of CBD.

It comes as a spray, which does make dosages a little easier to calculate compared to dropping below the tongue.

Each spray contains 20mg of CBD, while they recommend taking between 1-3 sprays per day, depending on your personal requirement.

I normally have around 40mg of CBD per day, while my main aim is to clear my head in the evenings to help me sleep, so I took it as one double spray dose 40-50 minutes before going to bed. I’m happy to say I was out like a light switch, so a big tick from me.

Being 20mg of CBD per spray, this would hint that you can get 75 sprays from a full bottle, so based on my daily consumption of two sprays, this would last me 37.5 days.

The lab report shows that it matched the stated dosage of CBD, while the next most prominent cannabinoids were CBG, CBDV, CBC, CBN and THC.

Based on the lab results, the bottle contains 55mg of cannabigerol, my favourite of all the cannabinoids.

What Flavour Is It?

I wasn’t initially aware it was flavoured, but the moment I sprayed it in my mouth I could taste mint. Having a look at the ingredients, I can see they’ve included peppermint flavouring, which is useful for those who struggle with the taste of hemp.

I personally don’t mind the taste of hemp, but I know I’m in the minority when I say that, so peppermint is a great option to mask the taste.

The Gym Focus

The creators of Cheetah CBD are massive gym fans, something I can relate to as I have had a strong passion for training throughout my whole adult life.

Calum also has a background of playing American Football, where you certainly take a few knocks along the way, therefore a focus on physical recovery was always paramount to the core focus of introducing a CBD oil specifically targeting athletes and fitness fans.

What Carrier Oil Do They Use?

Cheetah CBD use MCT oil, which is an odourless and colourless liquid that works by increasing the absorption rate of CBD.

Medium Chain Triglycerides work differently to long chain, in that they’re used as a quick source of energy and are much easier to digest, hence why the bioavailability is meant to be better with MCT, which is why it has become the go-to carrier oil in the CBD industry.

If you want to learn more about this subject and the different options available you can have a read of my guide to different carrier oils.

Where Can I Buy This From?

Cheetah produce three different strength CBD oil’s, being the 750mg CBD oil for £25, the 1,500mg oil for £50 and the 4,500mg for £109, all available to order from their website.

If you opt for 2nd class delivery then it looks like they offer free delivery, however if you require it a bit sooner, they offer 1st class delivery for an extra £3. All orders are handled by the Royal Mail, with tracking in place.
