My sixth and final review from the current All Round CBD product range, I’ve been trying the 1,000mg hemp oil original which I’ve actually very much enjoyed. If you prefer a flavoured version then you might want to have a read of my review of the peppermint oral spray or the lemon hemp oil.
How Much CBD Do You Get?
I’ve got the 1,000mg CBD bottle, however you can also get this product in 250mg and 500mg. The recommended dosage is half a pipette (1/2ml) which would contain 50mg of CBD, however you can adjust this based on your personal requirements. Based on this dosage, a bottle will last for 20 servings.
The CBD is a full spectrum oil derived from the whole hemp plant, meaning you will gain all the other cannabinoids and terpenes you would expect and hope for, allowing you to benefit from the entourage effect. The product is manufactured here in the UK, meaning it has to meet strict UK laws on quality levels.
How Do I Take It?
You should be taking the hemp oil under your tongue, dropping half a pipette and then holding it there for 1-2 minutes. It can be tempting to swallow earlier, but try to hold out for 2 minutes as this will increase the amount absorbed.
This isn’t to say everything swallowed will be wasted, the product contains MCT oil which works as a carrier oil for the CBD.
While MCT is an amazing carrier oil, it should be highlighted that if you suffer from diabetes type 1 then you should seek advice first, as there are numerous studies that show you shouldn’t have MCT if you do suffer from diabetes.
Why Do They Use CO2 Extraction Methods?
This is the most commonly used tactic to extract the CBD sufficiently. They use pressurised carbon dioxide in order to extract CBD and the other cannabinoids and terpenes in a highly concentrated form. This makes for a clean product, with no toxin byproducts, while this is a method they use for plenty of other food types, such as when they’re trying to remove caffeine from coffee to create a decaf option. It ensures a high level of purity.
Can I Add This To My Morning Coffee?
I wouldn’t recommend this. The hemp oil should be placed under your tongue to ensure absorption, therefore if you add it to your coffee it will be drunk and then only around 40% will be absorbed by the body, meaning much of it will go to waste. If you would like to add it to your drink then I’d recommend considering the aqua drops.
