Kiki’s Naturals is actually part of the Organic Relief brand, of which I recently wrote about the brilliant Organic Relief CBD Vegan Gummies. Recently I’ve been trying their skin treatment balm which contains 100mg of CBD in each pot.
What Is Included In A Tub?
The Kiki’s Naturals CBD skin treatment balm contains Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, (Soy Wax) Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Organic Shea butter) and Sativa L (CBD 100mg). It also doesn’t contain any hash chemicals.
Why Include Shea Butter?
Shea butter has long been known for its healing properties, as well as its anti-inflammatory properties, largely thanks to the fatty acids and vitamins present. A popular skin treatment ingredient, this is a key part of the balm, helping with skin discolouration, much greater than your average moisturiser. It’s also commonly used to treat acne scars.
Why Include Soy Wax?
Have you ever had dry elbows? If you were to buy a product aimed at solving this issue, it will often contain soy wax, as it is a great natural moisturiser. But as an added benefit, it is a much greater wax for both your health and the environment, being non-toxic.
Why Include Grapeseed Oil?
Packed full of Vitamin E and omega-6 fatty acids, grapeseed oil is brilliant for your skin. It’s high levels of proanthocyanidins, an incredibly important antioxidant, is one of the main reasons it is a must for those looking to take care of their skin. There have been multiple studies on the practice of applying grapeseed oil in order to counter sun damage and to boost collagen repairing. But another benefit is that it works for most skin types, so even if you have sensitive skin, most will find they are ok with grapeseed oil.
How Do I Use It?
You simply rub it onto the area of skin you’re looking to treat. I used a small amount each morning after having a bath, as the water will evaporate off your skin quickly and leaves your skin very dry, however moisturiser helps to trap that moisture into your skin and keep it soft.
Make sure, as with any product of this nature, to keep it out of direct sunlight in order to keep the quality high and to prevent the texture from changing at all.
One tip from a dermatologist I spoke to while working with a beauty brand is that most people don’t rub moisturiser into the skin for long enough for it to absorb. They said, rather than quickly putting it on your skin, you should actually softly rub it in for 30 seconds in circular motions.
There wasn’t a strong aroma at all, so this is good for those who are looking for one without a strong scent. It’s also 100% organic, another positive tick!
