I’m a big fan of serum’s, they have become part of my daily beauty regime (yep, I did just write that). I used to work in the beauty industry, so over time I became intrigued by adding more than just moisturiser to my morning tick-list. This is also the second product I’m testing by Best Life Botanicals, after the CBD Fizzy Bath Salts.

When Should I Use The Serum?

You can use a serum either in the morning or in the evening (or both, but they are pretty pricey), however you should use it after cleansing and before applying moisturiser. The steps are very important, as moisturiser will block the skin and prevent the serum from sinking in, so the moisturiser must be applied afterwards. Just the same, without cleansing beforehand, you can have clogged pored and excess sebum preventing the serum from sinking into the skin.

What’s Included In The Rejuvenation Face Serum?

The bottle contains 100mg of CBD, which is a full spectrum CBD, meaning it will also contain many other cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes working together. This is an all natural face serum infused with lavender and vetiver. This deeply balancing, hydrating serum works in harmony with CBD to firm your skin and to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Why Should I Use A Serum?

Serum’s are a great tool to tackle fine lines and those natural signs of ageing on the skin, able to deeply penetrate the epidermis and hydrate. When you buy a sheet mask, they’re often packed full of serum. Take a look at the 10 Step Korean Skincare Routine and this is one of the biggest aspects of the whole process. In fact, if you’re interested in sheet masks, then you might want to take a look at some of the ones I’ve tried so far, including the aloe vera face mask.

Serums offer high doses of active ingredients which really do make a difference to your skin, but they’re also relatively pricey compared to other items on the beauty list such as moisturisers or emulsifiers.

What Is Vetiver?

Vetiver oil has been a popular topical treatment for a long period of time, however its name is less well known as its counterpart in this serum, lavender. Taken from the Indian subcontinent, vetiver is a popular skin treatment for acne, packed full of antioxidants and with anti-inflammatory properties. It’s also regularly used to treat dermatitis as well as other forms of skin irritation.

How Much Does This Cost?

The Best Life Botanicals rejuvenating face serum can be purchased for £45 for the 30ml bottle, complete with 100mg of CBD.
