cbd fx aloe vera mask

I’ve certainly used my fair share of sheet masks in my life. In fact, I’m currently using around 3 per week, so I’ve seen it all, including various different materials, ingredients and textures. I was therefore very excited to review the CBD FX Hemp Aloe Vera sheet mask. The mask is said to provide a moisturising treatment that heals and tightens to enhance your natural glow, they’re saying all the right words, so next was to put it to the test.

How Much CBD Is Included?

A single sheet mask contains 20mg of the broad spectrum hemp extract. Just to quickly clarify on this point, it is broad spectrum, which is different to full spectrum or isolate. While isolate means it is purely CBD, full spectrum contains various other cannabinoids which are found in the plant, which will work in synergy with each other, also known as the entourage effect. Broad spectrum means it still has those other cannabinoids included, but there is zero THC, which is important for people who are tested for THC such as teachers or firefighters.

Is It A Face Mask Or A Sheet Mask?

Both terms are used on the packaging, so I thought I would clarify to remove any confusion. ‘Face mask’ is often used as a generic term, but these are often associated with a cream you rub on your face and then peel off or wash off afterwards.

On the other hand, sheet masks are a sheet you apply to your face, perfectly designed to match your facial shape and with a precise ingredient’s quantity. This product is a sheet mask, which I much prefer, it involves less effort and no confusion around quantity.

How Long Do You Keep It on Your Face For?

The packaging recommends 10 minutes. Most sheet masks offer some form of time between 10-20 minutes, however if you don’t feel it has all sunk in (and you have time and patience) then you could keep it on a bit longer than 10 minutes.

Do NOT wash your face after you have taken off the sheet mask, there will still be excess serum sinking into your skin and if you wash your face you will be removing these anti-ageing ingredients. You can softly dab any excess liquid into your face, but make sure you have washed your hands beforehand.

What Do You Do Beforehand?

You should apply a cleanser before putting the sheet mask on your face. This could be an oil based cleanser, a foam one, or both. I do like to use both beforehand as they offer slightly different benefits.

What Are Your Final Thoughts?

I like the mask, the inclusion of aloe vera and utilising CBD into my skincare routine. CBD offers so many benefits and while I tend to highlight the oral consumption benefits, there are various other benefits when taking it topically. The only negative was that the eyes were slightly small compared to mine, but that’s the only negative point I could make.

Where Can I Buy This Sheet Mask From?

If you are based in the USA (or a surrounding country) then this can be purchased from their US website for $6.99 with free shipping. If you are based in the UK then you may have to send them a message to the US version, as their UK section isn’t quite setup yet, but I will update this page the moment it is!
