flora farmacy cbd tea

Nothing beats a good cuppa first thing in the morning to wake me up and allow me to plan the day ahead. But the introduction of CBD tea was an interesting innovation, allowing me to have my morning dosage in an enjoyable way that doesn’t involve holding liquid under the tongue for a couple of minutes. This is the second Flora Farmacy product I’ve tried, after the 1,000mg CBD oil, while a couple of others are lined up for the month ahead, so keep you eyes peeled!

What’s The Benefits Of Assam Tea?

Produced from the Camellia sinensis var. assamica plant, ‘breakfast tea’ is full of antioxidants, which help to fight off free radicals, the main cause of ageing. This plant derived from India has been shown in rat studies to help people regulate high blood pressure, therefore reducing the risk of various health issues.

Does This Tea Contain Caffeine?

While I cannot find the exact caffeine content in each Flora Farmacy CBD tea bag, Assam black tea is known to have approximately 80mg per bag, whereas an Early Grey contains around 50mg, so it is slightly more than your usual cup of tea.

As you can therefore imagine, this also means it’s not a great CBD tea to have in the evening. If you’d prefer one in the evening, I’d recommend a chamomile based CBD tea.

How Do I Use This CBD Tea?

Very much following your usual process, you boil the water to 100c and pour it into your mug containing the tea bag and add a dash of milk (if you like). You can also add something to sweeten it if you like, but I’ve gone cold turkey on adding sugar over the past couple of years. It is arguably worth adding the milk as the fatty content helps to blend the oil into the brew and to increase CBD absorption. I tried it both with and without milk and I actually prefer the taste without, however I added a shot of MCT oil to increase absorption.

They recommend leaving the tea to brew for 3-6 minutes. I’ve read a study highlighting that almost half of us drink tea too quickly not allowing the flavour to seep properly into the liquid, so try to practice patience and you’ll have a more rewarding flavour waiting for you.

Once you’ve opened up the pack, you should remove the bags from the pack and put it in Tupperware, or some form of sealed container, to keep the quality high.

How Many Do You Get In A Pack?

A single pack contains 15 tea bags, coming to 30 grams. But here is an interesting fact which is worth taking note of, the tea bags can be used twice, so you can have two cups of tea from a single bag. This is important to remember so you don’t bin it after your first usage. You therefore get 30 cups of CBD tea from a pack rather than 15, while the bags are biodegradable.

It’s also worth highlighting that these are completely vegan friendly and are organically grown. This means they use no pesticides or chemical fertilisers at any point in any of the ingredients. The CBD also goes through third party lab test results to ensure quantities highlighted.

I will also be added this product to my list of the best CBD tea’s.

Where Do I Purchase This From?

The Flora Farmacy CBD Breakfast Tea can be bought from their website for £13.99, while they also offer a ‘multi-buy’ discount if you purchase more than one pack.
