wisp cbd chocolate drops

This is the first of two reviews of the Wisp CBD range of broad spectrum CBD oral drops, starting off with the chocolate flavour. Hey, they asked me what flavour I’d like to try, I’m only human, how could I not pick chocolate?

How Much CBD Do You Get?

They offer the options of 250mg all the way up to 4,000mg, so you can pick the one that suits both your requirements and your budget. I’m testing out the 1,000mg CBD oral drops, in the 30ml tincture.

You can find the lab reports by clicking on the sign near the top of the page, stating ‘Independently lab tested’. If you’ve not read a lab report before, you should have a quick look over my guide to reading a certificate of analysis.

There was 1,000mg of CBD in the full 30ml tincture, while the dropper can hold up to 1ml, which would be 33.33mg of CBD. You can therefore work out exactly how much you want and fill the dropper to the pertinent level. For the testing period, I tried 1ml at night before bed, as my main aim is to improve my sleep, something I’m happy to say it achieved. As you can guess from the measurement, if you were to have 1ml per day, this bottle would last you one solid month.

It can be difficult working out the strength of each drop based on the amount of CBD in the bottle and the size of the bottle, so Wisp have a useful CBD dosage guide on the product page which you can check over before taking some.

How Did It Taste?

Unsurprisingly, it both tasted and smelt of chocolate. I would describe it as a dark chocolate scent, while it tasted a bit like drinking cocoa. This is a nice option for those who don’t like the taste of unflavoured CBD oil, which seems to account for the majority of people I introduce this magical liquid to.

Of course, a quick look over on the Wisp website will highlight how many different flavours they offer, which really is quite extensive, so take a look through before making your final decision.

Which Carrier Oil Do They Use?

Wisp uses MCT oil in all of their CBD oils. MCT, or medium chained triglycerides, is a form of fat found in coconut oil, while it has been adopted by many people looking to lose some weight due to its ability to provide you with energy, while not being converted to body fat.

I’ve previously highlighted MCT as the best carrier oil for CBD, while it has become the go-to option for many brands.

Where Can I Buy This From?

You can buy the Wisp CBD Chocolate Oral Drops from their website for £27.99. You can also qualify for next day UK delivery providing you get your order done in time (before 3pm). This is Royal Mail first class delivery for absolutely free. To qualify for free delivery, you have to spend over £10, but considering most products cost over that, you pretty much automatically qualify. Wisp also sell topicals and vaping cartridges which might be worth looking at before making your order.

Being based in Brighton, I have directly witnessed the CBD industry grow and prosper, albeit witnessing the difficulties around legislation and the lack of transparency. I therefore decided to become a neutral viewpoint offering genuine reviews, advice and guidance.
