My next review is focused on the Swiss brand Mighty CBD, who have three different strength CBD oil’s, of which I’ll be testing out the 500mg CBD oil.
What Is Present In This CBD Oil?
As you might have seen from the title, this is a full spectrum oil, meaning it contains a combination of cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids, working together in what is known as the entourage effect.
A quick look over the lab report, which can be accessed from the footer of their website, shows that the stated quantity of CBD is present, while they also have under the legal 0.2% limit of THC.
Beyond these cannabinoids, there is also a small presence of CBC, CBDV and CBG. I’m a big fan of any CBD oil that contains CBG, as this is one of the areas I instantly look at to compare CBD oil’s.
While 500mg is on the lower end (the others they offer are 1,000mg or 1,500mg CBD), I slept like a baby after using this, the main area I test CBD oil for as I used to take an hour to fall asleep.
This product is completely vegan friendly and uses 100% organic crops, which are non-GMO and sourced from Switzerland.
Which Carrier Oil Do They Use?
They use oligo fatty acid from coconut oil as the fatty source to help increase bioavailability after consumption. This is basically MCT oil (medium chained triglycerides), which is the perfect fatty acid for CBD oil.
I’m also a fan of MCT oil as it helps to provide energy, perfect before a workout, while it also can help with weight loss (as long as you don’t have too much). With these factors in mind, plus its capability of increasing the absorption of CBD, I tend to have a little extra MCT oil when taking CBD.
It should however be noted that if you suffer from diabetes then MCT isn’t a great option and you should instead go for products that utilise other fatty sources such as olive oil or hemp oil.
How Long Will This Pack Last?
The amount you consume is based on your personal tolerance levels, therefore the guidelines are always rough and you should always start off low and build-up till you reach your optimal levels. Someone typically may have between 20-30mg of CBD at a time. The 500mg is in a 10ml bottle, while a full dropper is 1ml, meaning it would contain 50mg of CBD.
You therefore might want to try 0.5ml, to get you 25mg of CBD. On this basis, a pack would last you 20 days.
However, if you’re new to CBD, you might want a lower dosage and they recommend 3 drops, which would be around 6mg of CBD and would inevitably help the tincture to last a lot longer.
Remember that while you may want to increase your dosage, the max recommended in a 24 hour period by the FSA is 70mg of CBD.
Always place the drops under your tongue and hold them there for 1-2 minutes. Your body struggles to absorb CBD once consumed, which is why you need to do sublingual consumption to ensure some is absorbed into the bloodstream.
Where Can I Purchase This From?
You can order the Mighty CBD Full Spectrum Swiss CBD Oil from their website for £29.97. They also offer free shipping, which should arrive within 2-3 working days.
