hempoid-cbd-oil

Hempoid is a UK based brand, launched in the summer of 2020, while I’m happy to say this is the first of two products I will be reviewing by Hempoid. It was hard not to jump straight for the lemon flavoured CBD oil first, but I always believe I should review the original unflavoured options first, to prevent taste masking my judgement at all. This product is vegan friendly and uses 100% organic ingredients.

How Much CBD Do You Get?

Hempoid offer their formulas in two strengths, 500mg and 1,000mg, of which I’ll be reviewing the 1,000mg CBD.

As you would expect with modern CBD practices, they utilise a supercritical CO2 extraction method in order to yield the greatest levels of cannabinoids in the oil.

Hempoid makes the product in Croatia, with the oil sourced from EU certified hemp farms which meet UK regulations (basically, that it won’t have over 0.2% THC).

One of the founders themselves has suffered throughout their life with chronic ulcerative colitis, therefore they fully understand the need for a product that really does work for them.

Being a full spectrum CBD oil, you will find the combined total of CBD and CBDA, alongside a number of other cannabinoids, including CBDV, CBDVA, CBG, CBC and CBCA. Obviously, there is also some THC, but under the UK legal limit.

How Much Should You Use?

The recommended serving they state on the packaging is 6 drops, equalling 30mg of CBD. I’d say this dosage works for a large number of people, however if you’re new to CBD, you might want to try slightly less, to test whether it will work at a lower dosage, to save you a bit of money.

Based on a daily dosage of 6 drops, the 10ml tincture should last you 33 days.

What Carrier Oil Do They Use?

Hempoid use medium chain triglycerides, or MCT, as their carrier oil. I’ve discussed this subject in more detail and my love for when brands use MCT as the carrier oil for CBD, which I’d recommend having a read of.

MCT, derived from coconuts, works wonders at increasing the bioavailability of the CBD after consumption. It also is a great ingredient for other purposes, from watching the weight to boosting your energy or even increasing focus.

Where Can I Order A Tincture From?

You can purchase a 1,000mg CBD oil by Hempoid from their website for £35, which is actually a very competitive price! You can also enjoy 25% off with the discount code ‘CBDSLOTH25’.

They also offer free standard shipping in the UK on all orders, using Royal Mail. If you want it dispatched on the same day, make sure to put your order in by 2pm.

If you’re interested in purchasing from outside of the UK, Hempoid does offer delivery to a number of destinations, predominantly within the EU, but also Australia, however there will be an added delivery cost. If your destination isn’t listed on their destinations, send them an email, as they still might be able to get the product to you.

Being based in Brighton, I have directly witnessed the CBD industry grow and prosper, albeit witnessing the difficulties around legislation and the lack of transparency. I therefore decided to become a neutral viewpoint offering genuine reviews, advice and guidance.
