I was lucky enough to test out a number of products by the award winning Four Five CBD back 18 months ago, including the unflavoured Four Five CBD oil, so I was delighted to try a new product by this brand, being the orange CBD oil.

How Does It Taste?

I’m quite a fan of orange flavoured anything to be honest, so I was always going to love this. Good luck keeping me away from a Terry’s chocolate orange!

While I don’t mind the taste of CBD oil, many people struggle with the earthy taste, hence why flavoured CBD oil’s are growing in popularity, so if you’ve tried a CBD oil and couldn’t stomach the taste, then this is definitely a great option for you.

They achieve the taste through ‘natural orange flavouring’, however I can’t see any more details on this.

What Carrier Oil Do They Use?

As with their other CBD oils, they use medium chain triglyceride oil, which are fatty acids with 6-12 carbon atoms.

They’re commonly used by athletes as they give you a great boost of energy and can also help with keeping the weight off.

But the reason for their inclusion is that they help to prevent the cannabidiol from being broken down in your digestive tract, carrying it directly to the bloodstream.

How Strong Is This?

I have the 2,000mg CBD oil, which is the strongest form they offer, however they also have a 500mg and 1,000mg version if you’re working to a tighter budget.

Beyond the CBD contained within the industrial hemp extract, you will also get minor amounts of CBDV and CBG.

You can find the lab reports from the footer on their website, titled ‘certificates of analysis’.

How Much CBD Do You Get Per Spray?

Most people who order CBD in the UK will receive a dropper, therefore they may be surprised when they get this in a spray form. For that reason, I thought it was worth covering the mg of CBD per spray.

Each 30ml tincture holds approximately 240 sprays worth of liquid. You therefore have to divide the total amount by 240 to work out the quantity of CBD per spray.

So for the 2,000mg CBD oil, you would get 8.33mg of CBD per spray, for the 1,000mg you would get 4.16mg and for the 500mg you would get 2.08mg of CBD.

On the 2,000mg packaging, they highlight to take one or two sprays in a day, which would be 8-16mg of CBD. I would generally recommend going for 2-3 personally, but remember that everyone is different, it’s important to find your ‘magic spot’.

I personally consume 40-50mg of CBD per day, but I have a high tolerance level, therefore I need this amount for optimal results. The FSA recommends not consuming more than 70mg of CBD in a day, which would be just over 8 sprays of the 2,000mg CBD oil.

I do enjoy getting a spray, it doesn’t happen very often, so it makes a nice change. Remember to aim the spray below your tongue and to hold it there for 1-2 minutes.

Where Can I Order This From?

You can order the Four Five orange CBD oil from their website for £90 for the 2,000mg version, £50 for the 1,000mg version and £30 for the 500mg version.

As you can see, the greater the quantity of CBD in the tincture, cheaper it is per mg. So 1mg of CBD in the 500mg tincture costs 6p, whereas in the 2,000mg tincture, 1mg costs 4.5p.

These prices are based on a one-off payment; however you can also subscribe to a monthly subscription and then receive 20% off each month. I’m also happy to say you can get 15% off with the discount code ‘FF15’!
