cannabiva

I’ve had it in my content calendar for months that I wanted to write a list of the strongest CBD oil’s, considering I’m commonly asked what is the greatest strength I’ve tried.

Well anything I would have listed has just been swept away, as this is truly the world’s strongest CBD oil and by far the strongest I’ve tested.

To be precise, the strongest I’ve tested before this was a 4,000mg CBD oil, so that really highlights the contrast.

Who Are Cannabiva?

Cannabiva is a US based CBD brand located in Nevada, Lake Tahoe, while they utilise organically grown hemp from USA based farms.

Cannabiva was launched in 2018, while they sell a number of different strength CBD oils as well as CBD capsules and concentrates.

Is This Full Spectrum?

They offer all three variations, being isolate, broad spectrum and full spectrum, while I am testing out the full spectrum CBD oil.

This means that they utilise the entire plant extract, meaning you get all the different cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids.

As you may have heard, these cannabinoids work better when combined in their natural state rather than on their own, in what is known as the entourage effect.

To manufacture this blend, they utilise a full spectrum distillate containing about 0.1% THC (1 milligram per gram).

Cannabiva make every effort to comply with US Federal and California State laws, so they only utilise distillate that falls below the 0.3% THC legal limit.

When blended with MCT oil (in the 12,000MG Full Spectrum oil) you can sometimes see the T levels come in below the Limit of Quantification (LOQ), though the THC itself is present within the blend (and it is why I wouldn’t recommend it for users who may have to take a drug screening for work).

There are various factors at play with this, including testing variance at the independent lab, which could be +/- 10% within US Pharmacopeia guidelines, as well as the actual way LOQ is determined, which utilises a middle-ground figure to determine its result rather than, say, the highest detected level of THC (The lab double-tests the THC and the figures are almost always different, but within that 10% range).

Alongside the hefty amounts of CBD, you will also find a small amount of CBC, CBDV and CBN.

How Much Do You Take?

For the testing period, I wanted around 50mg of CBD, with the FSA in the UK recommending no more than 70mg per day.

The entire tincture contains 12,000mg of CBD and it’s in a 30ml bottle, meaning you get 400mg per ml dropper, wow!

If I took a quarter of a pipette, this would still be 100mg of CBD, so I halved that amount to provide me with the 50mg of CBD I was after.

Cannabiva have included a weight based dosing system on the side of the bottle, to help you with working out dosages.

The most important factor to remember is that everyone is different, your reason for taking such a strong CBD oil is undoubtedly much greater than mine, I primarily want to improve my sleep quality and quantity.

Cannabiva highlight on their website the best recommended action, to try titration of CBD, meaning to start relatively low and gradually increase your intake until you reach that magic point where you get the results you’re after. ‘Start low and go slow’ is the saying.

What Other Strengths Do They Offer?

Looking purely at their full spectrum CBD oil’s, they have a 750mg, 1,500mg, 3,000mg, 6,000mg and 12,000mg CBD oil.

What Carrier Oil Do They Use?

Cannabiva use organic medium chain triglycerides, which are derived from coconuts. Medium chain triglycerides, or MCT oil, helps by preventing the CBD from being broken down in the digestive system, so it can be absorbed directly through the gut wall.

Ensuring the greatest amount of bioavailability is critical when it comes to cannabidiol, hence why sublingual consumption is required, while MCT oil is more rapidly absorbed thanks to its greater quantity of carbons in the fatty acid chain.

MCT oil is now the most common carrier oil you will find with CBD, considering it’s perceived to be the best, but it wasn’t that long ago that it was relatively rare to find, with some brands opting for cheaper alternatives.

Where Can I Buy This From?

The Cannabiva maximum strength full spectrum CBD oil tincture is available from their website for $349.95 (that’s approximately £265.97 at time of writing).

However, you can save yourself 20% by subscribing to a monthly top-up, with the CBD oil then costing $279.96.

They ship to all 50 States with free same day shipping, while I’m based in the UK and it surprisingly only took 4 days to arrive!
