This brand is based right on my doorstep, being a Brighton company, with a range of products including gummies and CBD oil, while over the past week I have been testing out their CBD infused body oil, so read on to find out more.
How Strong Is It?
This is down to your budget and how strong you’d like it, as they offer four options, either coming in a 10ml or a 100ml tube.
As you may guess from the maths, the concentration level remains consistent between the two options, it’s just how much CBD you want to get in one purchase. It either comes with 100mg or 300mg in a 10ml bottle, or you can get 1,000mg or 3,000mg in a 100ml bottle.
You will significantly benefit from economies of scale if you opt for the higher end options. For example, the 300mg option costs £17.99, so going for something 10 times as strong would hypothetically cost £179.99, however the 3,000mg option actually costs £49.99.
Besides cannabidiol, there is also a small amount of CBG and CBDV present in the oil.
What’s This Ideal For?
Some CBD body oils are labelled for massages, others for easing muscles after getting out of the shower, while some are to add moisture into the skin, it all depends on your main focus, but all are valid with this CBD infused body oil.
They also highlight that you can add 5-6 pumps into a bath. If you do this, make sure to stay in the bath for a good 20 minutes, so your body can soak it all in. I did give this a try, while I like how it made my skin feel afterwards. It was nice to relax in the tub, forget about work for a little bit, stick some calming music on and smell the aroma from the oil. It was bliss until the puppy ran in and tried to hop in, end of my relaxing detox.
For the majority of the testing period I opted to apply it directly onto the skin, one day even being lucky enough to persuade Raquel to give me a massage. I claimed it was integral for research, any excuse!
After a shower, I added around 3-4 sprays onto my hands and then rubbed it into my lower back (to ease any strains post exercise), my elbows (which were a little dry) and my knees, as well as a little on my upper arms. The skin certainly felt softer after application and for the rest of the day.
How Was It?
I loved the scent, that was the first thing I noticed instantly. The combination of lemongrass and grapefruit peel oil made an incredible aroma.
Your hands are obviously a little greasy after rubbing it into the skin, so make sure to give your hands a wash, just as you’d expect with any body oil.
There are some great ingredients for your skin. Jojoba seed oil is a natural antimicrobial, with anti-inflammatory properties, commonly used in skin treatments to prevent rubbing and dryness.
Vitis Vinifera, commonly known as grape vine, also has anti-inflammatory properties, while it has been shown to tighten up pores, protect cell membranes and promotes the absorption of the skin.
Macadamia nut oil can help to increase skin cell regeneration, it will add moisture back into the skin and is an ideal ingredient for a massage oil, hence it’s place in this product.
Rosemary leaf oil can help to smooth out fine lines, it’s anti-bacterial, while it has also been used commonly to deal with breakouts. You may also find it does wonders for improving your skin complexion and lightening dark spots.
The longevity of the scent was interesting, as I put it on after showering in the morning on my arms, yet I could still clearly smell the scent by the evening once I got home, which was impressive.
When using this for the massage, it was absolutely perfect, easy to spread into the skin, the scent filled the room and it felt like a much more luxury option compared to the basic massage oil you’d pick up from the shops.
