Following on from my review of the Best Life Botanicals rejuvenating face serum and CBD fizzy bath salts, I’m now taking a closer look at their whippy butter skin treatment. For this review, I applied it daily after getting out of the bath, applying over the body, but mainly to my elbows and knees, areas which commonly can become dry.

Why Use A Body Butter?

Body butters seem to be a growing trend, an alternative to traditional body lotions, in a much thicker texture. However, they’re also known to be much more effective than body lotions at moisturising dry skin. Body butters help to nourish your skin and repair damage which naturally occurs in certain areas of the body, most specifically your elbows and knees (hence why I’m applying it there).

Tips With Application

Make sure to apply it after a warm bath or shower. You should apply it to dry areas of skin on your body, most importantly to areas which are stretched, bent or rubbed regularly. Massage it long enough so that it properly sinks into the skin. If you do suffer from excessive dryness, you can apply the Whippy Butter multiple times in a day, however I’ve got an oily skin type, therefore I only needed one daily application.

Remember once you’re finished rubbing it into the body, you can also rub it into your hands, especially focusing on your knuckles. Also, if you’ve been out in the sun, you might want to apply some again to help soothe the skin against sun damage.

What’s Included In The Whippy Butter?

You get 10mg of CBD in the 30ml pot, while you also get essential oils and natural unrefined butters, with added Vitamin C. It’s scented with pink grapefruit, however it’s a subtle scent and they also offer an unscented version if you’d prefer this. This is a great product for the face and whole body, while the butters are non-comedogenic and suitable for all skin types.

What Does Non-Comedogenic Mean?

This is a common term you hear in the beauty industry, basically describing a skincare product which has been formulated in a way so that it doesn’t block your pores and cause a breakout. To offer a bit more detail, open comedones are a blackhead and closed comedones are whiteheads. This is important if you don’t want to suffer an unsightly reaction and influx of spots after application.

How Much Does It Cost?

You can pick up a 30ml pot of Best life Botanicals Whippy Butter for £8.50. Before making a purchase, make sure to look through their complete beauty range, as well as my reviews on their other products.
