Despite receiving a huge amount of CBD products over the past 15 months, this is only the 3rd CBD skin balm I’ve actually tested out, making it still a relatively new area for me. However, my selection of CBD beauty and topical treatment reviews is growing each month, so I’d definitely recommend having a look through them.

How Much CBD Do You Get?

A single tub contains 500mg of CBD, in a 50ml tub. The balm is a little difficult to pull off, meaning you will only get at most 1ml each time you use this, working out at 10mg (depending on how much you go at it). Having said that, it will last a lot longer, preventing you from accidentally taking too much in one go.

Flora Farmacy use organic CBD isolate (99.99%) in this product, which is extracted from sustainably farmed, organically grown industrial hemp. Being organic is critical when choosing a CBD brand, as hemp is highly porous, meaning it absorbs everything put into the ground, so you don’t want any pesticides or chemical solvents used in the process. This is also tested in the third party lab test results to ensure nothing else is included that shouldn’t be there.

What Are The Benefits Of The Almond Oil?

This is a common ingredient used when treating dry skin, especially around psoriasis. It is also commonly found in spot treatments, while it’s fatty acid content helps to dissolve all the excess sebum found on the skin. This is just a small example of the benefits almond oil has when applied to the skin.

What Are The Benefits Of The Vitamin E Oil?

This is a great tool when tackling the early signs of ageing, helping to replenish lipids (the building blocks of living cells). They’re also a great antioxidant, helping to fight off free radicals. They’re commonly seen in sun damage repair products, while we’ve all probably been caught by the sun a few too many times in our lifetimes.

Why Is Beeswax Included?

The presence of beeswax means this isn’t a vegan friendly product, however it is a very useful ingredient and has been used in balms for over a thousand years. It’s an antibacterial agent, great for dry skin or dealing with any irritation, while it also has strong anti-inflammatory properties.

How Long Will A Tub Last?

This all depends on your usage and whether you’re applying daily or when needed, however if you were to use a 1ml drop each day then you would get 50 days worth from a single tub. I think most will probably use slightly less, meaning you should get 2 months worth. In regards to a best before date, the product has arrived in May and it expires in November, so a 6 month expiry date on this particular CBD skin balm.

Where Can I Purchase It From?

You can get the Flora Farmacy CBD Skin Balm from their website for £29.99, while you also might want to consider adding some of their other products which I’ve reviewed on the blog, including the Flora Farmacy CBD Fruit Gummies, breakfast tea and CBD oil.
