I used to work for a beauty brand which sold a clay mask, so I’ve certainly tried a fair few of these myself! I’ll walk you through the application process, so you get the most out of the clay mask, as well as all the key information you need to know before making a purchase yourself.

How Do I Use The Purify CBD Clay Mask?

Before you start, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly to prevent accidentally transferring oils or bacteria onto your face. You can obviously use a blending stick, but for the majority of us, our hands work perfectly.

Before applying the mask to your face, give your face a quick wash using a flannel (or your item of choice). Don’t use soap.

Apply it to your face and neck and rub it into your skin. You don’t need to be overly generous with the application, but you do want to cover the skin completely (excluding obvious areas such as your eyes and mouth).

I would normally state cleansing as the first step in a beauty regime, but often with a clay mask I like to cleanse afterwards, to ensure all of the clay has been removed. You can go for a foam or an oil cleanser (or both).

Afterwards, I would recommend applying a serum and then a moisturiser (or just a moisturiser if you don’t have both, but never before the serum).

They state you should use it 1-3 times per week, but I’d always stick to once per week, as you don’t want to dry out your face too much, once is the optimal amount.

Why Use A Clay Mask?

Clay masks are ideal for extracting impurities and excess sebum from the skin, which are normally guilty of clogging up pores and causing spots. This is why when I worked for the clay mask brand, our key demographic was actually teenage boys (I remember how many spots I used to have at that age).

Are These Vegan?

Yes, the growth of vegan beauty products is rapidly expanding, and this clay mask perfectly qualifies, so if you’re vegan then you can rest assured nothing animal based is present in this product.

How Much CBD Do You Get?

A full 50ml tub contains 100mg of CBD. I used around a tenth of the tub, so I would have got around 10mg of CBD. As you can therefore imagine, the product should therefore last 2.5 months if using once per week.

Why Does It Contain Aloe Vera?

Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory properties and can also help to soothe skin and prevent any irritation. If you have any wounds on your face, aloe vera can help to treat them, albeit I wouldn’t recommend applying the mask if you have an open wound at all.

Aloe vera has also been show to be anti-ageing and can add some much needed moisture to your skin.

Where Can I Purchase This From?

You can purchase the Naturecan Purify Clay Mask from their website for £30. They also have a number of other items within their beauty range which I’ll be reviewing over the next few weeks, which can help to bring you up the basket value to £50, so you meet the free delivery threshold.
