byron bay cbd oil

My next review comes from a brand located a little further than the others I’ve tried recently, with Byron Bay (unsurprisingly from the name) being a new CBD company from Australia, having been launched by Paul Phillips in August 2020.

What Flavour Did You Try?

Byron Bay hade a range of different flavours of the water soluble nano CBD tinctures, in original, tropical, peppermint and strawberry mojito.

Now I’ve tried plenty of peppermint options, while the original is just the basic hemp flavour. Tropical had me a little curious, but as soon as I saw strawberry mojito, my mind was set!

This was certainly a unique flavour, with a milky appearance and tasting like that devilishly nice cocktail. Hey, if I can’t spend this summer on a beach sipping on a cocktail, then why not have some strawberry mojito CBD oil?

To create that sweet taste, they use stevia rather than sugar, so you won’t be spiking your blood sugar levels, good for those who are watching their weight.

How Much CBD Was There?

They had 5 different options, being 600mg, 800mg, 1,000mg, 1,500mg and 2,000mg of CBD, meaning you can pick the strength you want based on your personal requirements and budget.

The product I was testing was the 1,000mg version. Provided in a 30ml tincture, this means that a full 1ml dropper would provide you with 33.3mg of CBD.

This was a broad spectrum hemp oil, with the CBD met with other cannabinoids, such as CBG, CBC, as well as minor amounts of CBN and CBDV. There was no detectable trace of THC found in the lab report.

Byron Bay have managed to produce pharmaceutical grade water soluble nano particles of CBD, allowing it to be absorbed at a greater rate than a traditional CBD oil.

Utilising their NanoZorb technology, Byron Bay have pioneering hemp based products that come from US grown organic hemp farms. The brand claims that the water soluble CBD they’ve produced will dissolve four times more and ten times faster than your average CBD oil.

What Is Grape Seed Oil?

A quick look over the ingredients on the bottle will highlight the presence of grape seed oil. Unsurprisingly, this is derived from the seeds of grapes, with the oil largely found as a by-product of wine production.

Grape seed oil is high in Vitamin E, packed full of antioxidants, to help you fight off free radicals. It’s also high in healthy fatty acids, while it has a mild taste and a light texture.

We’re increasingly finding grapeseed oil in skincare products, due to its ability to help increase elasticity in the skin and to moisturise the face. It’s anti-inflammatory properties are another obvious benefit. This tincture contains both grapeseed oil and hemp seed oil.

Dropper Markings

This might sound like a minor point, but I cannot fathom why all CBD brands don’t include markings on their droppers so you know exactly how much you’re placing in your mouth.

This is something Byron Bay have got right, with clear markings showing 0, 0.25ml, 0.5ml, 0.75ml and 1ml, so you can add the amount you personally need.

While I would love to say this is commonplace, I would say only 10% of CBD brands provide a dropper with measurements on it.

Where Can I Buy This From?

You can order the Byron Bay Cannabis Strawberry Mojito Nano CBD Water Soluble Tincture from their website for $124.

In case you’re tempted to try some of their other products while you’re there, they also stock CBD gummies, pain cream and essential oils.
