This was a brilliant opportunity to request a massage from my girlfriend using the excuse of a product review being required. Sure, I still need to write about it, but now I feel a hell of a lot more relaxed. This is actually the second product by this brand I have tried, following on from the Elitemii CBD Capsules.
Is This Product Organic?
Yes it is, which means all ingredients are, from the sweet almond oil to the CBD. Of course, we highlight the CBD more often because hemp is highly porous, therefore you should always opt for organic CBD.
Being organic, this means they don’t use any pesticides or chemical fertilisers at any stage in their process of farming, for each ingredient in the pack. Being from an EU industrial hemp farm, there are very strict standards for organic hemp which they have to meet.
It should be stated that it’s also vegan friendly, so perfect for those looking to avoid animal friendly items.
Why Include Jojoba Oil?
A popular modern ingredient in skincare treatments, thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, jojoba seems to be an ever-present in a large number of beard oils (I’ve tested a few, I would know). While some oils can cause a little irritation when rubbed into the skin, the jojoba oil works amazingly at moisturising the skin and keeping the skin calm. It’s also rich in both Vitamin E and B.
Why Include Sweet Almond Oil?
This might sound like an exciting new ingredient, however it has actually been used in skincare items for centuries. Just like jojoba, sweet almond oil helps deal with dry skin and flakiness thanks to the presence of Vitamin E and fatty acids. In fact, almond oil has been rumoured to help in numerous ways, from tackling dark circles under the eyes to cleaning pores, healing chapped lips and reducing pigmentation.
How Much CBD Do You Get?
A single bottle will provide you with 500mg of CBD. You use approximately 1/50th each time you use it, therefore you’re getting around 10mg of CBD, however this strongly depends on how lavish you are with your application.
As you would expect, they utilise a supercritical CO2 extraction method in order to get optimal quantities of CBD from the hemp.
Using The Massage Oil
You just drop a few drops into your hand and rub it in, before massaging the skin. It’s hard to be precise with how much we used, but I’d say approximately 2ml per go, from a 100ml bottle, meaning you’d get 50 uses from a bottle.
Even if you’re just using this on yourself rather than getting a massage, make sure to properly rub it into the skin, to ensure the absorption of the CBD, along with the other ingredients.
CBD is increasingly being used by people to combat muscle aches, hence the increase in demand for both CBD massage oil and CBD muscle recovery lotions. Considering I love to weight train and regularly bike, I often ache, therefore this is a great addition to my daily topical treatments.
Where Can I Buy This From?
You can purchase the Elitemii CBD massage oil from their website for £19.99, which isn’t bad when you consider it contains 500mg of CBD, which inevitably adds to the price point.
