Getting a collection of items by the Beemine Lab, it was hard not to jump straight to the honey, it looked so scrumptious! The honey with CBD, or Hani+ as it is properly known is great on a piece of toast first thing in the morning and made for a nice addition to my early morning routine after a workout when I’m craving a bit of sugar.

How Should You Take It?

They highlight on the website that you should add 2 tablespoons of Hani+ to a face mask, or with other beauty items, however this is due to the Spanish law around CBD, where it can only be sold as a topical treatment.

I personally would much rather to eat it, so no guesses what I did! I tried it in two different ways. I tried it on toast so I can get a clear taste of what it’s like, while I also mixed it into my morning smoothies on other days. Actually, if I’m honest there was a third way I tried it, I occasionally dipped a finger in! Don’t judge me!

So how did it taste? Honestly, spot on like any other high quality honey. This was a really big surprise, as I expected the CBD taste to potentially be overpowering and offputting when mixed with honey, but you couldn’t taste it at all.

It perhaps shouldn’t be such a big surprise, considering the brands knowledge of honey and CBD, that they could make a great quality product with a brilliant taste.

What’s Included In A Tub?

A single tub is 140 grams and contains 300mg of CBD, so a single serving should provide you with around 15mg of CBD, depending on how much you have.

It’s organic rosemary honey, which adds a nice hint to the honey and also provides further health benefits such as improving digestion and further antioxidants included.

On top of the CBD and rosemary honey, you also get olive oil, which works as the carrier oil for the CBD. Without this, the CBD wouldn’t be sufficiently absorbed after consumption.

How Does Honey Benefit The Skin?

One of the major reasons for acne is trapped dirt in your pores or bacteria on the skin. Honey is antiseptic and antibacterial, which will help to clean out those pores and rid your skin of bacteria. Honey is also jam packed full of antioxidants, important for fighting off free radicals, which are the main factors in ageing.

But another interesting potential benefit is how honey can boost collagen production, which will help to improve skin elasticity. The honey will hydrate the skin and leave it soft and glowing.

Where Can I Buy It From?

The Beemine Lab Hani+ can be purchased from their website for 17 euros (at time of writing). It’s also worth mentioning that with every purchase you make, you are supporting local beekeepers, while they kindly donate 10% of their profits to the protection of bees. What a great company!
