Along with my Golden Dream I recently reviewed, I’m now trying another product by the Brothers Apothecary, the Blue Moon Milk. I mean, my favourite beer is Blue Moon, so I already had a good feeling about this drink and I’m happy to say I was right, but read on for the full review.
How Do You Make Blue Moon Milk?
You add around a tablespoon of the powder in the packet to a mug and then pour in some milk. The quantity you wants is based on personal preference, but I went for about ¾ of a mug. You then stir it in until the lump start to disappear and the milk goes blue. Finally, you want to add a courier oil or a fat source to hemp improve the bioavailability, which could include coconut oil or butter. However, the best courier oil for CBD is MCT oil, so if you have some then I recommend giving this a go.
One warning if you have never used MCT oil before, only put a small amount, as it can speed things up if you know what I mean.
What Did It Taste Like?
It was really tasty, I actually really liked the taste. It was a bit like a cold chai latte, which did make me wonder whether I should have heated up the milk, but it didn’t state this on the guidelines and I wouldn’t want to damage the levels of CBD through heat at all.
The only problem I faced was that there were still quite a few bits at the bottom, so I had to spoon them out and eat them, as I don’t want it to go to waste. I potentially didn’t stir for long enough each time, so I recommend giving it a good minute of stirring.
With flavours such as cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla bean, it felt Christmassy, but I can’t tell you why.
How Much CBD Do You Get?
One thing I hugely respect about the Brothers Apothecary is they offer products with a substantial amount of CBD. This is the reason there aren’t many serving sizes in each pack they sell, as they are offering a premium level of quality with their products.
In the Blue Moon Milk pouch, you have powder that contains 201mg of CBD. They recommend a pack offering two cups, therefore you would be getting 100mg of CBD in each serving.
How Long Does One Pack Last?
Well, technically it offers two servings, so it could be a two day supply, however it all comes down to how much CBD you plan on having in a day. I aim for lower than 100mg, therefore for me personally I can make that powder last for four days.
Where Can I Buy Blue Moon Milk From?
You can buy blue moon milk from The Brothers Apothecary website, where you can see their full range, including cosmic cleanse, oolong passion, mystic kava root, chai awakening, Buddha’s berry, highbiscus, mellow mint and their CBD honey to add some flavour.
Do They Offer Lab Results?
Yes, they do. I’ve said in the past about being cautious of any brand that hides their lab results or doesn’t seem to have the required tests in place (especially some of the CBD products coming out of China), however the Brothers Apothecary are confident in their lab results and are more than happy to show all of their details on their testing page.
