Simply CBD are a UK based brand located in Hereford, with the aim to provide high quality products at low prices to the UK market.
Simply CBD stock a range of products on their website, including CBD oil’s, edibles, balms, capsules and vapes, however today I’m taking a look at their recently launched CBD patches.
How Much CBD Does Each Patch Contain?
Every single patch contains 15mg of CBD, with a computer controlled system ensuring that there is an even coat of cannabidiol across the entire film of adhesive coat.
This is a CBD isolate, meaning this is the only cannabinoid present in these patches, with zero percent THC.
There are 30 patches in a pack, which means you get 450mg of CBD in a Simply CBD Patches pack.
Where Did You Put It?
I slapped it right on my arm without thinking, but then I quickly realised I have quite a few hairs, which might be a little painful when removing.
Of course, if you remove it after a bath or in the shower then you won’t have any issues, but on the second day of testing, I applied it to the inside of my arm, where there aren’t many hairs.
There isn’t a specific place you need to put it, but they do recommend opting for a dry spot that is hairless, I probably should have read the instructions before jumping in.
How Easily Do They Stick?
These were much thinner than I presumed they would be, meaning they very easily peeled off the paper like a sticker and went right on the skin without any issues or brushing up against clothes at all.
I was also happy to see it remained stuck on securely throughout the day, rather than peeling off over time.
I tested a CBD patch (from a brand that won’t be named) while at an expo and the patches were incredibly thick, meaning at all times I found myself rubbing it, until it did peel off, but these are so lightweight and slim that you really don’t know they’re there.
Are They Noticeable?
No, not at all. If someone did notice, they might presume you’re on a nicotine patch, but really they weren’t obvious to spot at all.
The outside section is transparent, with the middle being grey dots, which isn’t exactly a highly visual mark, so you can easily wear the patch without others knowing.
Due to them being so thin, they can easily slot under your sleeve without people seeing a bump on the skin as well.
How Long Did You Leave It On For?
They state that you should leave the patch on for 12-36 hours, while I went for a clean 24 hours, placing a new one on at the same time each day.
I did this to match around when I was jumping in the shower each day, but you could leave it on for 36 hours to ensure you’re getting your money’s worth.
Why Opt For A Patch?
There are many reasons why you might want to consider a patch over another consumption method.
Firstly, this allows for a continuous release, rather than getting your CBD in a sudden large dosage. If you’re hoping for a gradual support throughout the day then this might be optimal for you.
Another reason is to do with the taste of CBD oil. Hey, I’m a big fan of the taste, but it seems 90% of people I’ve introduced CBD oil to have struggled with the taste of the oil and holding it in their mouth for a couple of minutes.
This also means you’re getting a dosage while you’re sleeping, which could be interesting for those who tend to wake up in the night through stress or anxiety.
