This CBD rich hemp oil by CBDFX is my latest product to be reviewed in their vast range, a change from the face masks I’ve been trying recently. If you like the look of this, you might also want to check out their lychee, lemon and kiwi hemp + MCT oil.

Why MCT Oil?

MCT is used as the supporting carrier oil, to help increase the bioavailability of the CBD once swallowed. As you probably know, you take CBD sublingually and hold it under your tongue for 1-2 minutes, however you end up swallowing the rest and only 40% is absorbed from your stomach, so MCT helps to keep it to the highest level possible. I’ve also listed MCT oil as the best carrier oil available.

But there are added benefits beyond the bioavailability. Medium chain triglycerides are used heavily for weight management, while many people take them before a workout for a slight boost. But despite being a fat, they work more like a carbohydrate in the body. They’re also shown to help improve brain function and enhance memory, while some studies have shown it can help to lower cholesterol levels.

How Much CBD Do You Get?

The bottle contains 500mg of CBD in the ‘500 series’. The bottle is 30ml and 1ml is a recommended serving, therefore you get 16.66mg of CBD in each full drop. Unlike many other CBD oil’s, the dropper has actual markings on it, so you can precisely take the right dosage, whether the full 1ml, or breaking yourself in for the first time with 0.5ml.

This is a full spectrum CBD, which means you can benefit from the entourage effect, as it contains a mix of the various cannabinoids, which all work together in synergy to offer various benefits.

But don’t just follow my article, you should always check the site has an up to date third party lab test result for the product, while you can also request this from the brand if you don’t spot it online. Fortunately, CBDFX list their third party lab test results online on their website.

The plant is grown on a US farm, so it meets US guidelines on quality and non GMO and gluten free, while it’s organically grown. This product is also vegan friendly.

500mg is a common option for many people looking for CBD oil. It’s not the weakest strength, but it’s also not the top end, making it a good option for beginners or anyone looking for a reliable brand. The brand does offer 1,000 and 1,500mg CBD tinctures through their site if you need something stronger.

How Should I Take It?

You should take CBD oil under your tongue, dropping 1ml and then holding it there for 2 minutes, before swallowing the rest. You will often find CBD products saying 30 seconds, but that isn’t anywhere near enough time for optimal absorption and you will see better results if you remain patient.

Why CBD Oil Rather Than Vaping?

This is partly down to personal preference, I don’t enjoy vaping too much, therefore I would always opt for an oil. Vaping does work quicker, if you need something to very quickly make a difference.

Where Can I Buy This From?

The CBD FX Hemp + MCT Oil is available from their website, where you can see their third party lab test results. You can also see where it scores on my list of the best CBD oil’s.
