The Dublin based CBD brand Ceelabb was launched at the tail-end of 2018 by Alan Clabby, a former electrician who had been using CBD himself since 2017, which had a huge effect on him and inspired him to setup his own business.

Step forward a few years and they’re now one of the biggest names in Ireland, with a range of CBD products sold online and in pharmacies. I’ve had the good fortune of being able to test out their CBD gummies, which is always great to taste as well as being beneficial.

How Strong Are They?

Each gummy contains 25mg of CBD, which is actually on the higher end, with the average CBD gummy containing 10mg.

According to the lab report, the gummies actually contained slightly more, being 27.7mg of CBD in the batch test, which matches the batch I’ve received.

The lab report also highlighted that the batch tested was free from THC, meaning if you’re drug tested for work or are cautious about consuming any THC then you needn’t worry.

How Many Do You Get In A Pack?

A single tub contains 30 gummies. With each gummy being 25mg, this means you get 750mg of CBD in each tub.

How Do They Taste?

The array of flavours was very intriguing to me. I expect to find something like strawberry, orange, blackberry or blackcurrant in your typical pack of CBD gummies, however Ceelabb have some more unique flavours with a combination of watermelon, apple, lemon and mango.

The taste was nice, not overly sweet, with each offering their own distinct flavour.

Are These Vegan Friendly?

Yes they are, they have opted for pectin instead of gelatine as the gelling substance, a plant alternative increasingly common in CBD gummies.

I might not be vegan myself, but I am trying to cut down on my animal intake, so I was happy to see this.

How Do You Take Them?

Rather than eating them straight away, what I would recommend doing is having a chew of them, then moving them under your tongue and keeping them there for 1-2 minutes, before carrying on eating and swallowing them.

25mg of CBD is a decent quantity for someone starting out, so one gummy should be fine to take. However, I was feeling greedy during testing and went for 2 per day.

Remember that gummies do take longer than CBD oil to work, normally a couple of hours from my experience, so make sure to work out the best time to take them for you.

Due to the sugar present in the gummies, I didn’t want to have these before bed, so I instead took 1 first thing in the morning and 1 just before lunch. I took it just before lunch, as if you have a full stomach then it can take longer to take effect.

How Much Sugar Is In Each Gummy?

A gummy contains 2.4 grams of sugar, with the total carbohydrate quantity being 2.6g, while there are 4 calories in a gram of carbohydrates, therefore there would be around 10.4 calories in a gummy.

Where Can I Order This From?

You can order the Ceelabb CBD Gummies from their website for €55, however you can also benefit from economies of scale by ordering at a cheaper price per tub if you order 2 or 3.

Order two tubs and the price per tub drops to €38.50, or order three and the price drops to €33 per tub.

They offer free delivery on orders over €70, so it could be worth going for 2-3 tubs, or adding their CBD oil to your basket.
