This is the first of three products I’ll be reviewing over the next few weeks by Just Be CBD, while I’m starting off with the flavoured full spectrum CBD oral drops. This is the first time I’ve tried an Acai Berry CBD oil; Therefore, I was undeniably curious about how it would taste.
How Does It Taste?
We have a winner for Raquel! With every CBD oil I test and review, I also get Raquel to try it, to offer a second opinion and to see how it works with two people versus just one. Considering we’ve both been trying different CBD oil’s every day for a couple of years now, it takes quite a product to make Raquel impressed.
But lo and behold, we have a favourite flavour for Raquel! While I don’t mind the taste of unflavoured CBD oil (in fact, I weirdly love the natural taste and aroma), Raquel has always struggled with the intense flavour, so she is always more excited by the flavoured oils.
While the flavours back in the day used to all be mint, they’ve been broadening more over time and this is certainly a unique taste. I couldn’t perfectly put my finger on what it reminded me of, but I think it reminded me of a Robinson’s squash I used to drink during childhood.
Acai berries are a grape-like round fruit from the acai palm tree, which is often located in South America, while JustBeCBD describes the taste as ‘rich blackberry and raspberry tones, alongside a hint of dark chocolate’. The acai berry taste comes from natural flavourings added to the oil.
If acai berry doesn’t float your boat, they also have chocolate milk, lemon & lime or orange, not to mention their natural flavoured CBD oil.
Just Be CBD are a UK based brand, located not too far from where I live, however they utilise US hemp oil, which is completely organic and uses non-GMO crops.
How Much CBD Do You Get?
They offer 5% and 10% CBD oral drops, while I’m reviewing the 10%. It comes in a 10ml bottle, meaning you get 1,000mg in a full tincture.
They use MCT oil as the carrier oil to help increase bioavailability. I’ve written in the past about how good MCT is to increase the absorption of CBD.
The certificate of analysis doesn’t cover the other cannabinoids potentially present, so despite it being a full spectrum oil, I can’t report on what else is present, however I can state that THC was ‘not detected’.
Can I Add It To My Smoothie?
Whenever I review flavoured CBD oil’s, I get an email from a reader who wants to know whether they can put it in their smoothie, so I thought it would be worth answering this question directly on the page. While you can, I’d strongly recommend not doing so, as your body will struggle to absorb the CBD. Instead, you need to take CBD oil sublingually, meaning placing it under your tongue, preferably for 1-2 minutes, in order to enhance results and help it to be absorbed into the bloodstream.
Where Can I Order This From?
You can buy the Just Be CBD 1,000mg Acai Berry Full Spectrum CBD Oral Drops from their website for £40, or alternatively you can pick up the 500mg CBD drops for £22.50. If you do opt for the 1,000mg CBD then you qualify for free delivery within the UK, with the minimum being £40, otherwise the delivery costs are £3.60.
