I first spotted Bud & Tender around 6 months ago, as they were firmly planted near the top of a list of the best CBD oil’s in the country. This was quickly followed by seeing them on a number of other lists, which made me equally intrigued to try it out and frustrated I hadn’t already done so! So, you can imagine my joy when they reached out to me, offering their filter pure cannabis oil to be tested on CBD Sloth. So read on for my full review and do send over any questions you may have, or leave a comment at the bottom to let me know your experiences with Bud & Tender.
How Much CBD Do You Get?
A single tincture contains 1,000mg of cannabidiol, while it comes in a 10ml bottle, meaning each 0.25ml serving will provide you with 25mg of CBD. Based on this serving size, you would have 40 helpings. For the testing period, I went for around 20mg of CBD in the evening before bed and 10mg before a client call or before an important meeting, making up 30mg per day for the trial period.
Their lab reports, based on the batch I’ve been sent, highlights they surpass the stated CBD levels in the tincture (always a positive sign, you can’t say no to a little extra CBD).
Being a broad spectrum CBD oil, there are other cannabinoids present, helping you to benefit from the entourage effect. My usual favourites, CBG and CBC, were both present, while there was also CBDV. But something I don’t often spot was the presence of CBT, or cannabicitran, which is often found in low doses, leading to a distinct lack of studies on this cannabinoid, but it has always intrigued me.
One incredibly important thing and sometimes I get somewhat heated with when I talk to CBD brands, is that I want the lab reports for the batch I’m writing about. There is no point reading a third party lab report for a CBD oil from a year ago, what relevance does that have to the product I’m holding?
However, Bud & Tender have done exactly what I want from a CBD brand and that is display trust and responsibility. They have the batch code on the base of the pack, while this matches up with the lab report I’m reading on their website, based on the test done a couple of months before the product arrived and showing all details, from terpenes present to whether any heavy metals were in the extract.
This might all sound like a basic expectation, but part of the reason I started CBD Sloth was because so many CBD brands seemed to hide important details, show out of date lab reports or even refuse to provide them (I 100% refuse to show any CBD reviews on my website by brands that won’t provide a third party lab report). If you do want to learn more about this subject, you can have a read of my guide to reading a certificate of analysis.
Who Are Bud & Tender?
Bud & Tender is a UK based cannabis supplement company, formed by Mark Turner and Charles Clowes. They’re a proud member of the British Hemp Alliance and regularly are featured in lists of the best CBD oil in the UK.
Both directors in the company now, Mark Turner (who I’ve been directly speaking with) has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Leeds and has focused his time specialising on the hemp flower for the EU and UK market.
Charles Clowes has a post graduate diploma from the University of Hertfordshire, which is where Bud & Tender utilise their state-of-the-art facilities in order to advance their research and development for their range of hemp products.
One thing that stood out to me when talking to Mark Turner was his absolute confidence on how much I would be impressed by the Bud & Tender cannabis oil, and he was spot on, I was impressed! Credit where it’s due, I was asleep in moments when taking it each night before bed, it kept me mellow and calm before presentations (of which I’m doing around 4 per day and I never feel comfortable with them however many I complete).
Where Can I Buy This From?
They offer the option of 500, 1,000, 2,000 or 4,000mg of CBD tinctures in the 10ml bottles, or 1,500, 3,000, 6,000 or 12,000mg of CBD in the 30ml bottles. As you can imagine, this means they go much stronger than most you will find on the market, so you can opt for the one that suits your personal requirements.
To go for the cannabis oil that I reviewed, you’d want the 10% cannabis oil in the 10ml bottle, which can be purchased from here and costs £80. You can also get 10% off with the discount code CBDSLOTH10.
